Identification method: Frondelite indicated by EDS analysis. Analysis was performed on a polished grain embedded in Araldite epoxy. This eliminates surface contamination from the analysis.
Frondelite forms a series with rockbridgeite. The rockbridgite end-member contains no manganese. Frondelite contains one part Mn to four parts Fe, (consistant with the plot below).
